The Land of Milk and Honey

I dont really know where to start with this one... its been quite the week and so much happened.

For starters Saturday night I got a call from the big man himself President Parker, letting me know that an Elder in bend was struggling a lot and that he needed me to go and be comps with him for a couple weeks(whatever that means). So next thing I know im packing to go back to Bend. So your first thought is probably that I would be excited about this but im not.

My Companion Elder Nordy is my dawg and we only got one week together, we actually would've become best friends and we had such a great time together so thats really disappointing

If you cant tell from the Photo we absolutely cooked together and imma miss my boy.
Also the ward was so amazing and I had just got in good with them. we were cooking with missionary work, like we had some Dawgs we were teaching and my boy Dale is getting baptized in 7 days.

So Yeah now im ZL in the YSA in Bend which is just insane, it's basically St George. Im in the same apartment I spent 6 months in, 6 months ago. It all feels very weird. But im not complaining because the work is really good here as well, we have 6 people on date for baptism right now and they are all really cool.

Also I went to a arena football game on Saturday because we are teaching(back in Redmond) the head coach and he gave us tickets. So that was fun. We also had zone conference which i had to give a training in. So basically im exhausted, ive had no time to sleep and we just keep having the most insane days.

We are teaching a bunch of YSA dudes that are going to be getting baptized this transfer we just gotta lock in and make sure it happens.

But anyways thats just a little update on me I probably forgot somethings but yeah im doing great.

Back Over the Mountains

I escaped hell. I will say im very happy about the time I had in west salem, I loved both my companions over there and I grew a lot in so many ways. But boy am I glad to leave, prezzy gave us a call and told me I would be a zone leader over the mountains, for those of you who dont know, "over the mountains" is where everyone wants to go but most people dont ever get to go. and ive already spent 8 months over here, but now im back. And I love it im in a place called redmond and its like a small country town but full of tweakers so its a good time.

We play basketball every tuesday and Thursday night with like 20 non-members and its competitive and my comp is a Hooper so its just the greatest. My new comp Elder Nordquist is a dawg we get along really well.

We are teaching this old dude named Dale hes pretty funny, and hes on date to get baptized on the 24th and its looking like he will be ready by then! We've been finding a lot of cool people, we found Tiffany and Corey they are from Louisiana and they have the best accent. But we found them on Saturday and they came to church the next day and they seemed to enjoy it.

Its kind of been a long week on thursday we had transfers and I drove 3 hours over to Bend, then over to Redmond and it was my comps birthday so we went to this family's house for cake and ice cream and while we were eating the Dad(Brody) tased me in the back, it was wild.

The next day we drove 3 and a half hours all the back past salem to Newberg and had a 5 hour meeting(MLC) then drove all the way back, we left at like 8 and got home at 10:30, and then some sales bros knocked on our door and it was Daniel Densley and some other homies from the Mish. And my other trainer was at church on Sunday with us as well( Elder Wilde). So its been a frat to say the least, im pretty tired but I took a 3 hour Faith nap this morning so now im ready to go.

But thats enough from me hope yall had a good week!

I showered today! Can I get a hug now? -Brian Wilson

Prezy called me up this week to ask for some transfer advice and he asked "How is the Brush Hills ward doing?" I said " Nah this is Brush Hell, get me outta here." So if you cant tell im ready for a new area. Ive been transferred 1 time in the last year...

But im not here to complain, we had a fantastic week is west salem. We've been handing out more book of mormons than ever and people are actually reading them which is sick.

One of our members( Brian Wilson ) found out that this is probably my last week here and he about started to cry and thats when he asked me for a hug, which i did give him a side hug. He is very unaccountable and kind of weird but he really likes me for some reason. Here's a Pic of us yesterday

Our boy Cameron was at church yesterday and oh boy it was fire haha. It was fast and testimony meeting and he decided to go up and share a 20 minute story of his life. Which I think is really cool that a non-member would be able to do that. But our ward was unimpressed and they actually chastised us for letting him talk for so long. Idk how its our fault

Anyways our friend Jaeger went to the temple open house and loved it. Said he wats to get baptized, but wants to wait until he moves out so he doesn't cause Contention with his family.

We found Serenas roommate and now Serena is teaching him the gospel and they are both super interested and progressing super well! They were also at church and had such a good time.

Anyways a little spiritual nug today is just the whole book of Moroni, because I realized today that I have every single verse in the whole book marked and I thought that was crazy. What else is crazy, is Moronis promise at the end-

4 And when ye shall receive these things, I would exhort you that ye would ask God, the Eternal Father, in the name of Christ, if these things are not true; and if ye shall ask with a sincere heart, with real intent, having faith in Christ, he will manifest the truth of it unto you, by the power of the Holy Ghost.

5 And by the power of the Holy Ghost ye may know the truth of all things.

How amazing is it that if we have real intent and faith that we can receive truth about anything.

Anyways, stay super, man.
