Hey yall how's it going. I'm just out here chillin. I don't know if I said this or not but I'm in the walk/bike Mish and in Oregon during the winter time it just rains constantly.  So I'm just out here getting soaked and muddy, but it's actually really fun I kinda like it because we bike past so many people and we just try to talk to them and it's fun.

On Thursday we were being apos and we slept in until like 8 on accident and I think because of that we had the worst day ever. Every lesson we had planned canceled, every person we talked to told us to go away, and it was pouring rain more than ever that night and it was super windy and just cold and we were out for like three hours in it,  but I love the Mish it's so fun.

Friday was mid I don't even remember what happened, oh actually we had a fire lesson with Kate and Elona it's a mom and daughter, we knocked on her door not too long ago and she's like a Russian Christian but she was very curious and "mormons" and we were texting her and we were like did you read those verses we gave you? And she's like a little bit, but i did watch a bunch of YouTube videos on Mormons. So were like oh crap. But we went to her house and had a really good lesson, her daughter loves it which is good but her mom is a little more iffy, they asked about polygamy so many times like they didn't believe us and we just couldn't stop laughing.

Saturday was lit we did an exchange and densley thought it was a good idea to put me and the other trainee together so it was me and this other kid who talked even less than me, but of course because I'm the goat we found two people that day and I've been trying to work on my Spanish because there's a lot of espanols here. But honestly I think I did really good for only being In my second week.

Sunday we woke up and we had gotten a text Saturday night that we had to give talks in church so I had to whip one up in like 20 minutes but I found it's really easy to make a tall if you just read quotes and scriptures haha so It's not too bad. There's this dude Trevor we've been teaching and we decided he's ready so densley had me ask him to be baptized and he said yeah so now as an apartment we have 12 people on date which is pretty cool. 

On Saturday we were riding and we rolled up and these three teenagers who were wearing tails and collars and I was like yo wanna talk about Jesus and he's like I'd keep going if I were you and I was like do you love Jesus and he's like no, keep going and then he like started growling at me and then next thing I know were like barking at eachother so that was weird.

We met this dude Giovanni when we were riding yesterday he was taking out the trash and I think he's autistic or something but I love him he was like telling us to go away at first but then next thing you know he's hugging me and were taking some fire flicks so yeah he's the goat.

Oregon is so wet bruh. MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!

 Aight yall whoevers Idea it was to send me on a Mish is so smart cause this sheesh is so fun. 

Nah but for real first night we land in Oregon and we meet the mission pres at the airport and he took us to the Portland temple which is so sick. It's in my top 5 for sure. They took us to the mission house after Dat and we finally got to meet our trainers and my Trainer is actually the goat he said he called it that he was gonna get me cause I guess I was just the best looking one so he wanted me. He's the district leader so he keeps me in check and he's such a baller, he just forces himself at people and we literally found 25 new people in one week which is a new record for him. 

But anyway as soon as I met him he's like yo bro we got a lesson right now we gotta go and I'm like oh no I completely forgot everything I learned in the mtc so the whole ride there while elder lobo is going like 10o through the city were like going over the resto and I'm stressing out.

We get there and as soon as we sit down in these two dudes apartment my comp gets up and goes to the bathroom so I'm all alone and these two dudes just start bashing the church and I have nothing to say and I'm like wow I'm cooked, then my comp comes back and him and these guys just get into a heated debate and then like 20 minutes later they kick us out and spit on us and stuff, then they come outside and they're like you left your keys in here.

So I'm thinking we're gonna go in there and get shanked or something, but we walk in and they have name tags on so I got pranked but it was funny.

Yeah so I live with the zone leaders and my comp is DL so they keep me in check but we still have a lot of fun.

Anyways like I said before we found like 25 people this week and we put Two people on date it's Erin and Mandy both of them decided to get dunked on their first lesson which is quite cool.

We've been teaching this dude named Jose and he's like super interested and I think he's gonna be the next bappy, we brought him to church for the first time on Sunday and I sat by him cause we had like a bunch of new people at church so we had to spilt up and sit by different people but Jose lived it and he said he could feel the spirit and that he wants to come back.

We've also been teaching Gabriel I knocked his door my second day and we got him to come to church and he also loved it so then densley made me lead the lesson and so I did and it actually went pretty well I finally memorized the first vision so I used it on Gabriel and I think it worked cause he's like so hyped about getting baptized he'll probably get emersed too.

Anyways I know there's probably a lot more that has happened but I don't remember so. I also need to be better at taking flicks cause I only have a few but. I'm loving it out here I still miss some things from home but I'm sure I'll be fine in a few weeks it's crazy I've been a missionary for a whole month already( who's counting) I've learned so much and I know I'll just keep learned but I'm so grateful for this opportunity and for all the support I've had, also I'm lowkey so bad at emailing so of I don't answer your email I'm sorry I'll get to it I swear.

Apparently they do this thing where it's drippy vest Monday or sum so they cut the sleeves off a vest and Madd me wear it but I think it's tuff. And the members loaded us up with Christmas stuff all that on the table is just one bag and they gave each of us one. And then that's me and my comp elder densley, and then that's all the newbies at the Portland temple with the mission president

Alright so this week has been crazy 

We were able to go to the temple on Friday to do endowments in the timpanogos temple and I had a great experience I love doing endowments every time I go it gets better every time and the sprint is always so strong I love it!

Saturday we had our last class with sister jensen ( thank goodness.....she's the one that made me cut my hair) then we went to the temple again and the bus driver took us to the wrong temple some how so we went to the Payson temple which I've never been too and itwas actually a very pretty temple, the only problem was my favorite food place in the whole world is in Payson and I've been so hungry for real food lately so that was sad, but we did sealings for my first time ever. It was very spiritual but very long at the same time.

Sunday is starting to become my favorite day of the week, or at least at the mtc it was just because it's a change of pace and even though it's our busiest day it still feels like a rest day plus devotionals are low key kinda fun and we have a lot of those on Sundays.

Monday and Tuesday we're just classes and packing so not much fun but I had to say bye to my district which was actually kinda sad, our district has been through a lot and we've grown pretty close because of it. Our branch president said he's never seen a district have a crazier two week in the mtc so I'll give a little run down of what's happened.

Sister Atkinson has mono and was told to go home but she didn't

Elder havenar has dislocated his ankle three times

Elder olamaleva broke his hand and almost had to stay another 6 weeks but didn't

Me and havenar have thrown up a combined 15 times( yes we counted)

And the best for last this one still blows my mind 

Sister hall gained turettes on Friday night

So basically we walked out of the devotional as a district and she just started yelling swear words and just random words and we didn't think much of it that night we just laughed, but then it got worse and worse to where she got sent to the er by our branch president and she got diagnosed with turettes, apparently you can get it temporarily caused by high amounts of stress.

But here's the cool part Sunday night she was told by the mtc president that she had to go home and so she had a panic attack and the turettes started to go away and then she  asked me to give her a blessing so I did and after the blessing the turettes was gone and she was able to get to Canada today so that was a really cool experience. 

Today is a travel day and it is no fun we have had technical difficulties with the front runner and the plane, I don't like traveling.

It's crazy to think I'll be knocking doors tomorrow maybe even in a couple hours, I feel super motivated and I'm so excited but I don't feel ready so I'm just gonna trust the lord and go for it. 1 Nephi 4:6 I read that everyday.

I'm sure I'm missing something but I don't have much time so that's it

One Week In

 

Alright so it's already been a week I feel like I've been here for years but I also feel like I got here yesterday. It's been such a Rollercoaster because I have so much fun and my testimony has grown so much but I'm low key sick of the mtc already. Only a week left though so that's good.

Alright so I think I'm just gonna give rundowns of each day if I can remember them 

Friday 

This was our first day of actual class it's crazy to think we've only had like 6 classes in person because I've learned so much since the first class buy yeah Inothing special happened I think we had a devotional but who knows

Were gonna skip Saturday cause it was boring haha. Sunday was the day that kinda changed it all for me before Sunday I wasn't sure if I could go for two years but we have a devotional called the go and do experience and all it was was we studied by ourself for an hour and a half and that's the longest I've ever read the scriptures in one sitting and from just that one time it's completely changed me I love reading the scriptures now my faith has grown so much and yeah it's great out here.

 

We went to the temple on Monday and did baptisms and confirmations and initiatorys. I think it's really cool that we go to the temple because it's the only time you get to go as a missionary. We tried to get the 400 pound Samoan to let us dunk him but he wouldn't, not that we would've been able to but it's all about the stories to add to the dad lore.

The rest of the week was just classes and getting better at teaching which  I definitely have gotten better but I know it's gonna be so different in the field so I hope my trainer is a dog.

 

Anyways I love my district so much we're all so close and we've all become best friends we kicked the Samoan out of our room cause of the snoring so I actually sleep now. One of the sisters in the district has mono which is kinda weird but it's funny.

My branch president didn't like my hair too much so he made me get a cut, also there's so many Samoans here and i guess they like to cut hair so one of them cut me up in the bathroom and it looked terrible so I had to go to the barber shop.

We had a devotional and Neil l Anderson pulled up so that was dope I didn't realize how cool apostles are until then but that was cool. I've been cooking everyone in basketball and volleyball all week I didn't realize there was no competition round here haha. 

Well idk what else happened but I goy one more week till Oregon and I'm so excited.
